Flexible arrangements
These books have been carefully written with flexibility in mind. The pieces are excellent as duets, fantastic with the optional piano accompaniment or can be used in mixed ensembles with different instruments on each part. The ranges are ideal for beginning players and they avoid the common pitfalls of each instrument that can make a fun tune too difficult for a student to be bothered learning.
Woodwind & mallet percussion books are transposed to match each other allowing for all sorts of combinations of instruments to play together. Similarly, the brass books all match each other but the lower part is adapted to avoid the akwardness of large intervals and difficult slide positions for trombone. Many of the tunes also match between brass, mallet percussion and woodwind allowing for some very instresting and flexible combinations of instruments.
The piano accompaniment is great if there a pianist handy, or if not the play-along CD provides the same piano part.
