Born in Sydney, Australia in 1970, Matthew Orlovich studied music composition (B.Mus Hons 1993, PhD. 2000) with Eric Gross and Peter Sculthorpe. His compositions include music for solo instrumentalists, chamber groups, a cappella choirs, symphony orchestras and accompanied choirs.
Matthew's music has been performed extensively throughout Britain, Europe, Canada and the USA, as well as in Australia. Matthew's recent commissions include a new work entitled "White Horses" for Symphonic Wind Ensemble (published by Reed Music), as well as new works for Oriana Chorale (ACT), the 60th Australian Intervarsity Choral Festival (TAS), In Harmony Choir (NSW) and the Sydney Conservatorium Chamber Choir.
