Demetrio Trombi (Melbourne 1972) studied composition at La Trobe University Melbourne graduating with an honours degree in 1998. He undertook a Master’s in composition degree at Melbourne University which he completed in 2001.
Demetrio’s works have been performed by then Perihelion quartet, Members of the Melbourne symphony orchestra, the Southbank Contemporary ensemble and Astra. His music has been broadcasted on RRR FM, 2 MBS FM, ABC FM and published by The Keys Press Australia. Recorded on ‘Spike’ FAC-CD-2 available from Australian Music Centre and the Fellowship of Australian Composers. Demetrio is represented by the Australian Music Centre.
Current activities include treasurer of Fellowship of Australian Composers (FAC).
Demetrio is currently residing in Sydney.
